In The First Descendant, progressing through the game involves a lot of grinding for various rewards and advancements. There are two main ways to level up: Descendant level and Mastery Rank.

What is the max level in The First Descendant?

Firstly, Descendant level maxes out at 40. Each individual Descendant has its own Descendant level, which means if you aim to max out all 14 available Descendants, it will require a significant amount of time and effort.

On the other hand, Mastery Rank is a universal measure of your overall progress that applies regardless of which Descendant you are using. The current maximum Mastery Rank in The First Descendant is 30. Unlike Descendant levels, Mastery Rank progression is slower, as you only earn XP from completing missions for the first time, increasing weapon proficiency, or leveling up Descendants without using any Sockets in your Module slot.

Both paths to leveling offer distinct rewards and challenges, catering to players who enjoy grinding for progression and mastering different aspects of the game’s mechanics.
