Strands is a new daily puzzle from the New York Times, offering a challenging twist on the classic word search. You’ll need sharp observation skills to solve this puzzle.
Just like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can be tough some days. It’s okay to need a bit of help. If you’re stuck and need the answers for today’s Strands puzzle, we’ve got you covered.
How to Play NYT Strands
In Strands, your goal is to find the “theme words” hidden in the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping to form words; double-tap the final letter to confirm. If you find a correct word, the letters will turn blue and won’t be selectable anymore.
Finding non-theme words also helps! For every three non-theme words of at least four letters, you’ll get a hint that reveals the letters of one of the theme words, which you then unscramble.
Each letter in the grid is used once and only once to spell out the theme words, with no overlaps. Every puzzle also includes one “spangram,” a special theme word that touches two opposite sides of the board. The spangram will be highlighted in yellow when found.
Your aim is to complete the puzzle quickly with minimal hints.
