How to Play NYT Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words. Your task is to organize these words into four groups of four, each connected by a common theme. These themes could be anything from video game franchises to shades of red or chain restaurant names. Only one solution is 100% correct. Shuffle and rearrange the words to help spot the connections.
Each group is color-coded: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple (most challenging).
- Pick four words and hit Submit.
- Correct guesses remove the words and reveal the theme.
- Incorrect guesses count as mistakes. You get four mistakes before the game ends.
