Introducing Connections, the New York Times’ latest brain-teaser! This puzzle game challenges you to sort a set of 16 words into four secret categories by discerning their relationships. The puzzle resets every night at midnight, and like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
Some days are trickier than others. If today’s Connections puzzle has you stumped, our hints below might help. And if you’re still stuck, we’ll reveal today’s answers at the end.
How to Play NYT Connections
In Connections, you’re presented with a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four groups of four by identifying their common connections. These groups could be anything from video game franchises to book series, shades of red, or chain restaurant names.
How it Works:
- Shuffle and Rearrange: Move the words around to better see possible connections.
- Group and Submit: Select four words and hit submit. If correct, the group is removed and the connection is revealed. If incorrect, it counts as a mistake.
- Color Coding: Groups are color-coded by difficulty: yellow (easiest), followed by green, blue, and purple.
- Mistakes: You get four mistakes before the game ends.
