NYT Connections: hints and answers for Monday, June 10

Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. In this game, you categorize a pool of 16 words into four hidden groups by discerning the connections among them. The puzzle refreshes nightly at midnight, with each new challenge varying in difficulty. Like Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.

How to Play NYT Connections

In Connections, you start with a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to organize these words into four groups of four by identifying their relationships. These groups could be anything from video game franchises and book series sequels to shades of red and chain restaurant names.

Some words might seem to fit multiple categories, but there’s only one correct solution. You can shuffle and rearrange the grid to better visualize the connections.

Each group is color-coded by difficulty: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple (hardest).

  1. Select four words and hit “Submit.”
  2. If correct, the words are removed, and the connection is revealed.
  3. An incorrect guess counts as a mistake. You have four mistakes before the game ends.
