Xiaomi to reward Olympic medalists with Mi 11 Ultra smartphones

The announcement was made by Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain via Twitter. the Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone for 2021.

Xiaomi on Sunday announced that the company will be rewarding Mi smartphones to Indian athletes who won a medal at Tokyo Olympics. The announcement was made by Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain via Twitter. 

“We value the grit & dedication that it takes to win an Olympics medal. As a small gesture of thanks, we’ll humbly gift a Mi11Ultra to all the Indian Olympic medal winners. Super phone for Super Heroes.” He said in the tweet.

Players like Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Lovlina Borgohain, PV Sindhu, and Bajrang Punia will receive a Mi 11 Ultra phone while all the members of the Indian Hockey Team will receive a Mi 11X.

Along with Mi, the Government of India as well as many private companies announced rewards for the Olympic winners. 

India’s performance at Tokyo Olympics 2020 is deemed as the best performance by the country to date. In total India won seven medals, including a gold medal which was won by Neeraj Chopra for javelin throw.

As reported by India Today, the Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone for 2021. The Mi 11 Ultra features a triple rear camera setup which consists of a 50-megapixel 1/1.12-inch primary camera sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 120x zoom.
