Samsung has been one of the oldest and the leading player in the industry of smartphone. The South Korean company has long dominated the market of Android user. It is recently that the Chinese brand Xiaomi, with its sub-brand Redmi, has reportedly overtaken Samsung in some aspects. The Chinese brand has rose to immense popularity which is a tough competition to Samsung.

We have analyzed Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 and Samsung Galaxy F14 to learn about its features.

Body

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 has dimensions of 160.5 x 74.5 x 8.3 mm that weighs 178.8 grams. It is built with plastic frame and front and back covered with glass and plastic, respectively. The phone supports dual Nano-SIM and is IP53 dust and splash resistant.

Samsung Galaxy F14 has dimensions of 166.8 x  77.2 x 9.4 mm that weighs 205 grams. The phone is built with gorilla glass 5 in the front and its back and frame made of plastic. It supports dual Nano-SIM.

Display

Redmi Note 10 has employed Super AMOLED technology for its display with brightness of 1100 nits and refreshing speed of 450 nits. It is 6.43 inches in size with screen-to-body ratio of 83.5%. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels and protected by corning gorilla glass 3.

Samsung Galaxy F14 uses PLS LCD technology for display with 90 Hz of refreshing speed. The display is 6.6 inches with screen-to-body ratio  of 81.5%. The resolution is 1080 x 2408 pixels.

Camera

Redmi Note 10 has four modules for main camera which includes, 48 MP f/1.8 (wide), 8 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), 2 MP f/2.4 (macro), 2 MP f/2.4 (depth), with features of LED flash, panorama, and HDR. It has video quality of 4K @ 30 frames per second (fps), 1080p @ 30/60 fps. The front camera is 13 MP f/2.5 (wide) with HDR feature and video quality of 1080p @ 30 fps.

Samsung Galaxy F14 has two main cameras – 50 MP f/1.8 (wide) and 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) – with LED flash, HDR, and panorama feature. The video quality for both camera is 1080p @ 30 fps.

Platform

Redmi Note 10 supports Android 11 operating system, which can be upgraded to Android 12. It has Qualcomm SDM678 Snapdragon 678 chipset and octa-core CPU of 2×2.2 GHz.

Samsung Galaxy F14 supports Android 13 operating system. The chipset is Exynos 1330 and CPU is octa-core (2×2.4 GHz).

Battery

Redmi Note 10 has lithium polymer battery of 5000 mAh. The non-removable battery is expected to be 50% charged in 25 minutes and fully charged in 74 minutes with 33W wired charging.

Samsung Galaxy F14 has rather powerful lithium polymer battery of 6000 mAh. The non-removable battery supports charging of 25W wired.

Memory

Redmi Note 10 has internal storage of 64 GB and 128 GB with 4 GB RAM. It also comes with 6 GB RAM for internal storage of 128 GB. The phone allows expanding the memory space as it provides dedicated slot for micro SDXC chip.
