Xiaomi has multiple sub-brands under its name, which further divides into multiple series such as C series and M series. The Chinese smartphone brand has been successfully managing all the series at once, making us wonder about the differences.
We have analyzed two of the product from each series – Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro and Xiaomi Poco C50.
Body
Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro has dimensions of 159.9 x 73.9 x 8.1 mm with weight of 179.5 grams. The phone is built with gorilla glass 3 in the front and its frame and back made of plastic. It supports dual Nano-SIM and is IP53 dust and splash resistant.

Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro uses AMOLED technology for display with refreshing speed of 90 Hz and brightness ranging from 700 to 1000 nits. The display size is 6.43 inches with 84.5% screen-to-body ratio with resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has protection of corning gorilla glass 3.
Xiaomi Poco C50 has IPS LCD technology for display with 400 nits of brightness. The size of display is 6.52 inches with 81% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels.
Memory
Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro has internal memory of 64 GB, 128 GB with 6 GB RAM. It also has 8 GB RAM with 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage. The memory can also be expanded with dedicated slot for micro SDXC chip.
Xiaomi Poco C50 has internal storage of 32 GB with RAM of 2 GB and 3 GB. The phone allows expanding the storage as it provides dedicated slot for micro SDXC.
Camera
Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro has three main cameras – 64 MP f/1.8 (wide), 8 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) – with LED flash, HDR, and panorama feature. The selfie camera is 16 MP f/2.5 (wide) with HDR feature. The video quality is 1080 pixels @ 30 frames per second (fps).
Xiaomi Poco C50 has two main camera modules – 8 MP f/2.0 (wide) and 0.08 MP (depth) – with dual-LED flash and HDR feature. The selfie camera is 5 MP f/2.0. The video quality for both cameras is 1080 pixels @ 30 frames per second (fps).
Battery
Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro has powerful lithium polymer battery of 5000 mAh. The non-negotiable battery is expected to be fully charged in 58 minutes with 33W wired charging.
Xiaomi Poco C50 has lithium polymer battery of 5000 mAh. The non-removable battery can be charged with 10W charging.
Platform
Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro has Android 11 operating system. It has chipset of Mediatek Helio G96 and octa-core CPU of 2×2.05 GHz.
Xiaomi Poco C50 has Android 12 operating system. The chipset is Mediatek MT6761 and CPU Quad-core 2.0 GHz.
