Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17 Air, a brand-new addition to its flagship lineup and the thinnest iPhone ever created. At just 5.6mm thin, the iPhone 17 Air blends sleek aesthetics with cutting-edge performance, positioning itself as the most design-first model in Apple’s history.
Ultra-Slim Titanium Design
The iPhone 17 Air is built with a premium titanium frame, delivering strength without adding bulk. It sports a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with refresh rates of up to 120Hz, alongside Always On Display, so users can check widgets, notifications, and time at a glance. For protection, Apple has equipped it with its most advanced Ceramic Shield glass, which is up to three times more scratch-resistant than the previous generation.
Powered by the A19 Pro Chip
Inside, the iPhone 17 Air is powered by the new A19 Pro chip, Apple’s most efficient and powerful processor yet. With a 6-core CPU, it is designed to deliver uncompromising speed, smooth multitasking, and energy efficiency, ensuring top-tier performance despite its ultra-thin profile.
A New Approach to iPhone Photography
Apple has reimagined smartphone photography on the iPhone 17 Air. Instead of multiple lenses, it comes with a single, advanced 48MP Fusion camera that uses AI-driven computational photography to simulate multiple focal lengths.
The camera allows users to shoot with virtual lenses—26mm, 28mm, 35mm, and 52mm—without requiring separate hardware. With 24MP default image capture, photos now deliver more detail, natural colours, and sharper depth. Advanced features such as Dual Capture, Action Mode, next-gen portraits, Dolby Vision 4K60 recording, and Audio Mix with Spatial Audio make it a creator-friendly tool for both photography and video.
