Samsung is preparing for the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to be unveiled on January 22, 2025. The lineup, which includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and the S25 Ultra, will bring hardware updates, including a new generation of display protection.

According to a recent leak from tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) on X, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature an upgraded display with second-generation Corning Gorilla Armor. This new version of Gorilla Armor will include anti-reflective properties, providing further durability and protection.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra was the first device to feature Corning’s Gorilla Armor, which was praised for being four times more scratch-resistant than other competitive glasses. The next-gen Gorilla Armor is expected to provide enhanced protection, potentially addressing issues raised by S24 Ultra users, who recently complained about screen stains and peeling of the anti-reflective coating.

In addition to the upgraded glass, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a large 6.86-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will sport a quad rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto, a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will also support Galaxy AI features and could come in seven color options, including three exclusive shades.

The flagship model will reportedly house a 5,000mAh battery, with 45W fast charging support. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to offer top-tier performance, improved durability, and a premium user experience when it launches in January.
