The OnePlus Open, the Shezhen-based company’s first foldable smartphone, is anticipated to go on sale next month, and details about the device have just appeared online. The next phone’s characteristics and features have been alluded to in a number of rumours and leaks over the previous few weeks. The business apparently examined a number of potential names for the device, and it had previously been predicted to go by the name OnePlus Fold. It is currently rumoured to have a look akin to the Oppo Find N2, which was unveiled in December of last year.
According to tipper Max Jambor (@MaxJmb), the Hasselblad-branded camera units will take up a lot of space on the OnePlus Open and will come with a periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. The phone, he continued, will probably resemble the Oppo Find N2, a foldable book-style phone that was introduced in 2016. According to Jambor, the OnePlus Open will be available in Black and Green at launch.
According to rumours, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage will power OnePlus’ first foldable device. Additionally, it is believed to have a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen and a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED core display, both with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
