OnePlus is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated foldable, the OnePlus Open 2, early next year. Leaked details suggest the successor to the OnePlus Open could bring significant advancements in design, performance, and durability. Here’s everything the leaks have revealed so far.
Fresh renders shared by Smartprix in collaboration with tipsters Yogesh Brar and Yawn hint at a sleek, lightweight design. The OnePlus Open 2 may feature a slim profile of less than 10mm with curved rear edges, potentially making it one of the slimmest foldables on the market.
The device also flaunts a redesigned circular camera module with a rearranged triple-camera setup. The rear cameras, rumored to include three 50MP sensors for primary, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses, will bear the Hasselblad branding. For selfie enthusiasts, the foldable is expected to house dual front cameras—32MP and 20MP.
One of the most exciting upgrades could be the IPX8 water resistance rating, which is a significant improvement over the IPX4-rated predecessor. Additionally, leaks suggest the foldable will pack Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offering top-tier performance alongside up to 16GB of RAM and a massive 1TB of storage.
The foldable could also feature a massive 8-inch LTPO main screen with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a 6.4-inch AMOLED cover screen for a seamless experience in both folded and unfolded modes.
