OnePlus outdoes it own self every time it launches a new smartphone. The brand has rose to immense popularity with its smart looks and high-tech features. The Chinese brand has given a tough run for money to its competitors even the pioneers of the market. One brand which has been serving difficult competition against the brand, is a fellow Chinese brand, Oppo.
We have analyzed Oppo A17 and OnePlus 9, for the sole purpose of comparison.
Body
OnePlus 9 measures 160 x 74.2 x 8.7 mm with 192 grams of weight. The front and back of the model is built with gorilla glass 5 and has plastic frame. The phone supports single Nano-SIM or dual Nano-SIM.
Oppo A17 has dimensions of 164.2 x 75.6 x 8.3 mm that weighs 189 grams with dual Nano-SIM.
Display
OnePlus 9 has fluid AMOLED technology for display with refreshing speed of 120 Hz and brightness of 1100 nits. The display size is 6.55 inches with 87.6% screen-to-body. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels and has protection of corning gorilla glass 5.
Oppo A17 has IPS LCD technology for its display of 6.56 inches with 83.3% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 720 x 1612 pixels.
Platform
OnePlus 9 has Android 11 operating system, which can be upgraded to Android 13. The chipset is Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G and CPU of octa-core (1×2.84 GHz).
Oppo A17 has operating system of Android 12. The chipset is Mediatek MT6765 Helio G35 and CPU of (4×2.3 GHz).
Memory
OnePlus 9 has internal storage of 128 GB with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB with 12 GB RAM. The phone do not allow increasing storage space.
Oppo A17 has internal storage of 64 GB with 4 GB RAM. It allows expanding the storage space with micro SDXC chip.
Camera
OnePlus 9 has three main camera modules – 48 MP f/1.8 (wide), 50 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), 2 MP f/2.4 (monochrome) – with Hasselblad color calibration, dual-LED flash, HDR, and panorama features. Oppo A17 has two main cameras – 50 MP f/1.8 (wide) and 2 MP f/2.4 (depth) – LED flash, HDR, and panorama. The video quality is 1080p @ 30 fps. The front camera is 5 MP f/2.2 (wide) with HDR feature.
Battery
OnePlus 9 has lithium polymer battery of 4500 mAh. The non-removable battery is expected to be fully charged in 29 minutes with 65W wired charging. It also supports 15W wireless charging.
Oppo A17 has lithium polymer non-removable battery of 5000 mAh.
