Although the OnePlus 12 isn’t scheduled to be on sale until later this year, online whispers regarding the device have already begun to circulate. According to a new rumour, the smartphone would have a 2K resolution display and the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The OnePlus 12’s CAD renderings have now been revealed thanks to a tip. The renderings show off the future phone’s design and hint to some of its most important features. The phone is anticipated to be released by OnePlus in December.
The OnePlus 12’s appearance and functionality are suggested by the leaked renders, which were created by SmartPrix and Steve Hemmerstoffer (of OnLeaks). According to reports, the graphics are based on actual photographs of a test unit. According to the renderings, the OnePlus 11 successor’s design is largely similar to that of the departing device. It is depicted having a camera island that is quite similar in appearance and a back panel finished in sandstone.
Now, the camera system seems to be the most significant improvement made to the OnePlus 12, at least from the outside. There are now three sensors, including what looks to be a periscope camera. This is novel because the OnePlus 11 only has a conventional telephoto lens available.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC-equipped OnePlus 12 is anticipated to go on sale in December of this year. The renderings and the claimed 2K resolution OLED panel with curved edges are both present in the device. The device is anticipated to feature 50W wireless charging in addition to 150W cable fast charging.
