Nothing Phone 2 successor to Nothing Phone 1 was officially launched in India on July 11, while the OnePlus 11R was launched earlier this year in February as a rebranded OnePlus Ace 2 and succeeded OnePlus 10R.
Both the handsets are powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoCs and rear camera lens contains 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor.
Let’s compare both the smartphones in price point and the specifications they have to offer in India.
The base model of Nothing Phone 1 which has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is listed at Rs 44,999 in India, whereas 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB is listed at Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively. The phone will go live on July 21 through Flipkart and selected retails and will be available in Dark Gray and White colour options.
Whereas, the base variant of OnePlus 11R 8GB + 256GB is available at Rs 39,999, while the 16GB + 256GB option is available in the country for Rs. 44,999. The smartphone is available to purchase from Amazon, OnePlus website and selected retail outlets and can be brought in Galactic Silver and Sonic Black colourways.
The Nothing Phone 2 comes in a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixels) LTPO OLED display and offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits meanwhile the OnePlus 11R features a 6.74-inch full-HD+ (2,772×1,240 pixels) curved AMOLED display with a similar refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1450 nits.
Both the smartphones are powered by octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 5G SoC. The Phone 2 comes in 12GB of RAM along with 512GB of storage while the OnePlus 11R comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. Both the offerings from Nothing and OnePlus runs on Android 13 out-of-the-box. Nothing Phone 2 runs on Nothing OS 2.0 on top of Android 13 whereas OnePlus 11R on OxygenOS 12.1 skin.
When speaking of camera the OnePlus 11R has a triple camera unit featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. The Nothing Phone 2 carries a dual rear camera system with secondary camera unit includes another 50-megapixel 1/2.76-inch Samsung JN1 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens with electronic image stabilisation (EIS). Both the smartphones comes with a 16-megapixel and a 32-megapixel front camera respectively.
The OnePlus 11R comes with a 5,000mAh cell that supports 100W SUPERVOOC S flash fast charging, whereas the Nothing Phone 2 is backed by a 4,700mAh battery with 45W PPS wired fast charging support whereas the charging brick with Nothing Phone 2 does not come in the box and is sold separately.
