Nokia can be described as one of the oldest phone company as it has been around since the time of keypad phones. Now, the brand has some of the most exciting smartphones with latest features. Among the new leaders of the smartphone industry is Xiaomi who has created a space for its own sub-brand Poco.
We have analyzed one product from each company – Nokia C01 Plus and Xiaomi Poco X5 – for the purpose of comparison.
Body
Nokia C01 Plus has dimensions of 148 x 71.8 x 9.3 mm with weight of 157 grams. The phone is built with plastic frame and back and it supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM).
Xiaomi Poco X5 is bigger in size as it is 165.9 x 76.2 x 8 mm in dimension that weighs 189 grams. The phone supports hybrid Dual Nano-SIM. It is also IP53 dust and splash resistant.
Display
Nokia C01 Plus uses IPS LCD technology for its display of 5.45 inches with 72.1% screen-to-be ratio. The resolution is 720 x 1440 pixels.
Xiaomi Poco X5 employs super AMOLED technology for display with refreshing rate of 120 Hz and brightness ranging from 700 nits to 1200 nits. The display size is 6.67 inches with 85% screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels.
Platform
Nokia C01 Plus supports Android 11 operating system and has chipset of Unisoc SC9863A and CPU is octa-core (4 x 1.6 GHz).
Xiaomi Poco X5 supports Android 12 operating system. The chipset is Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G. The CPU is octa core of 2×2.2 GHz.
Memory
Nokia C01 Plus has internal storage of 16 GB and 32 GB with RAM of 1 GB and 2 GB. The phone also allows increasing the storage as it allows micro SDXC chip.
Xiaomi Poco X5 has internal storage of 128 GB and 256 GB with 6 GB and 8 GB RAM, respectively. The phone supports expanding the storage space with micro SDXC chip but do not provide a dedicate slot for the same.
Camera
Nokia C01 Plus has 5 MP main camera with LED flash and HDR feature. The same features are available with selfie camera of 5 MP. The video quality for both cameras is 720 pixels @ 30 frames per second (fps).
Xiaomi Poco X5 has three main cameras – 48 MP f/1.8 (wide), 8 MP f/2.2 (ultrawide), and 2 MP f/2.4 (macro) – with features such as dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, and panorama feature. The selfie camera is 13 MP f/2.5 (wide) with HDR feature. The video quality of both cameras is 1080p @ 30 fps.
Battery
Nokia C01 Plus is expected to have lithium ion battery of 3000 mAh, which can be removed from the device as required by the user.
Xiaomi Poco X5 has powerful battery life with lithium polymer of 5000 mAh. The non-removable battery is expected to be fully charged in an hour with 33 W wired charging.
