JioPhone Next specs LEAKED! Might feature 13MP rear camera; price likely under Rs 4,000

Reliance Jio is joining hands with Google to create Jio’s entry-level smartphone, JioPhone Next. The Android smartphone which was announced in June will go on sales in September. 

According to specifications shared online by Mishaal Rahman, XDA Developers’ editor-in-chief, the new smartphone will be run Android 11 (Go edition). JioPhone Next will feature a 13 MP back camera and 8 MP front camera. 

The smartphone may feature a 1440×720 resolution display and will be powered by a Qualcomm QM215 SoC processor. According to Hindustan Times Tech, this Qualcomm processor is a 64-bit, quad-core processor that comes with the Qualcomm Adreno 308 GPU. It is designed for low-end devices and comes with the built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 LTE modem with support for Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, up to 1080p video recording, LPDDR3 RAM, and eMMC 4.5 storage.

Rahman also mentioned that JioPhone Next will be pre-installed with “DuoGo” that “may have low RAM optimizations”. The phone will also come with Google Camera Go preinstalled will have Snapchat Integration.

Reliance Jio has not revealed the price details yet, but it is assumed that the price for JioPhone Next will be Rs. 4000 in India. The phone was first announced during Reliance Industries 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM). During the meeting, Reliance Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani had said that the phone will be available at an affordable price in India and globally.
