Apple has taken the wraps off its new Apple Watch Series 11 at the Apple Event, introducing the most advanced smartwatch in the company’s lineup yet. The Series 11 arrives with a sleek, thinner design and major improvements across durability, connectivity, health features, and performance.
The new model is now 2x more scratch resistant than the Apple Watch Series 10, making it more durable for everyday use. It is also Apple’s first watch with a built-in 5G modem, significantly boosting data speeds and real-time responsiveness. Battery life has been extended to a full 24 hours, supported by fast charging, ensuring users can go through a day of intensive use without worrying about power.
Health remains a cornerstone of the update. Apple Watch Series 11 introduces hypertension notifications, alerting users to possible chronic high blood pressure risks. This feature builds on existing health tools such as ECG, sleep score tracking, and irregular rhythm notifications, making the watch a more comprehensive health companion.
On the design and user-experience side, the Series 11 debuts new Flow and Exactograph watch faces, a refreshed Smart Stack with hints, and gesture controls for more seamless interaction. Apple has also added a new Space Gray aluminum finish, while maintaining its commitment to sustainability by using 100% recycled titanium and aluminum cases.
Other highlights include Live Translation for real-time language assistance, Workout Buddy integration with AirPods for fitness tracking, and a sharper focus on lifestyle with tools like Vitals monitoring and Notes sync.
With the Apple Watch Ultra 3 providing a rugged option for explorers and athletes, and the Apple Watch SE 3 offering an affordable entry point with updated health sensors, the Series 11 sits at the heart of Apple’s wearable strategy. Combining durability, connectivity, and health-first features, it aims to set a new standard for smartwatches in 2025.
