Apple is gearing up for its highly anticipated “Awe Dropping” event on September 9, 2025, where the company is expected to unveil as many as seven new products, headlined by the iPhone 17 lineup. The Cupertino-based tech giant will introduce the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, which could replace the iPhone Plus, alongside the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models.

The iPhone 17 Air is set to be the thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.5mm, featuring a 6.6-inch ProMotion 120Hz display and weighing only 145 grams. It will carry a single 48-megapixel rear camera and is expected to launch at $899. The standard iPhone 17 will reportedly bring an upgraded 24-megapixel front camera, while the Pro models are tipped to include a redesigned pill-shaped camera bump with 8x optical zoom and new aluminum backs for lighter durability.

The event, scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern at Apple Park in Cupertino, will also showcase Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and the next-generation AirPods Pro 3 with health-focused updates like heart-rate tracking. Apple’s big September showcase marks the start of its three-year transformation strategy, setting the stage for foldables in 2026 and the all-glass “iPhone 20” in 2027.

Apple’s September 9 event will stream live on its official website, YouTube, and Apple TV. Pre-orders are expected to begin September 12, with availability likely starting September 19.
