Apple has introduced the iPhone 17 Air, its slimmest and most design-focused iPhone yet, measuring just 5.6mm thin. Described by the company as “unlike anything you’ve ever held before”, the Air combines cutting-edge engineering with premium materials to deliver a unique blend of portability and performance.

The device is built with a titanium frame, ensuring strength without adding bulk, and features a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. It also supports Always On Display, offering glanceable access to widgets, notifications, and time. For durability, the Air is protected by Apple’s most advanced glass yet, with a Ceramic Shield that is 3x more scratch resistant than its predecessor.

On performance, Apple’s VP of Platform Architecture, Tim Millet, highlighted that “iPhone Air demands the most efficient, high performance chip we’ve ever built for iPhone.” Powering the device is the new A19 Pro, which packs a 6-core CPU and is billed as the fastest processor in any smartphone. This ensures the iPhone 17 Air delivers uncompromising speed and efficiency despite its ultra-thin form factor.

By combining premium titanium build, an ultra-thin design, advanced ProMotion display, Always On functionality, and the powerhouse A19 Pro chip, the iPhone 17 Air represents Apple’s boldest reimagining of the iPhone in years. It sits alongside the iPhone 17 lineup as a design-first flagship for users who want elegance and performance in the slimmest package ever.
