Prime Minister Modi unleashed 100 Kisan drones across different cities and towns in India. He wants farmers to inculcate best practices in farming and bring in agricultural innovation. This will be a remarkable entry in 21st-century farming in India.
Modi stated that this will mark a new generation of farmers and it will modernize agricultural practices with innovation. He is confident that this breakthrough will take the drone sector to a new height and will open up several opportunities. Nirmala Sitharaman in her Union Budget for this year has declared a massive push to the agriculture sector.
Furnishing further details Sitharaman stated that the Centre will market Kisan Drones, Organic and Natural farming, Public-private partnerships for the execution of high-tech and digital services to the farmers across India in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
Pressing on the importance of drone technology Nirmala Sitharaman said that it would assist in crop assessment, spraying pesticides, insecticides and nutrients, digitalizing land records and estimating yield from the fields.
