ChatGPT is an AI software that provides original text content to its users and this year’s Valentine’s Day has been an improvement in the usage of English grammar, sentence structuring and formality of romantic messages shared on social media and dating apps this year.

People come to use more of a text language for every scenario which includes a mix of regional slangs, abbreviations and and vernacular colloquialisms where the essence of the real English has been highly diminished. However, this new software which is free to all users has proven wonders for many couples this Valentine’s Day and brought back a sense of romantic formality quite close to one that was a century ago.

As the trend to use ChatGPT grows, its creative director Mallik Arjun Ray said, “With the popularity of online grammar correction tools, it seems like it will only be a matter of time before people start completely depending on AI to communicate to the point that their words will not even be their own.”

While this technique become trendy this year, many scholars have expressed their discomfort over use of AI for relationship development. They have called it a way of Forgery where if the user’s partner were to be told about it, they’d not be pleased.

According to a survey called ‘Modern Love’, of 5200 across 9 countries including India has revealed that 62% of adult Indians intend to use AI to write their love letters. The survey also revealed that 57% Indian respondents would be mad at their partners for using AI technology to draft their love letters.

As per intellectuals, love is an emotion that can not be expressed with sentiments by a machine therefore, for an occasion like Valentine’s Day use of Ai should be minimal in nature. The occasion is not meant for perfections but for the inside jokes, little imperfections and the personal touch that make the gestures more surreal.
