Telegram is introducing a new date bar to the Contributed Media page, which now shows the photographs, videos, files, and music that users have shared in a private or group chat. This feature allows users to easily scroll through shared media by just dragging up and down. Users can now use their fingers to pinch to zoom in and out for a better browsing experience.

A new calendar view has been added to the Shared Material tab, allowing Telegram users to search for media from a certain period. To do so, tap on the date bar to see a calendar interface with media previews for each day, then tap to see all of the material from that date. Additionally, users can now filter shared media to see only photographs, only videos, or both.

Aside from these capabilities, the most recent Telegram update also includes a preview option for administrators. You’ll now see a Request Admin Approval setting when you generate new chat invite links, giving admins more control over who may join and watch the chat.

When a user clicks on a link with Admin Approval enabled, a button to send a join request appears, which admins may handle from a new bar at the top of the chat. Before granting or rejecting a request, administrators can look at the applicant’s public profile images and bio.
