Amazon is adding a very high profile celebrity voice for the Alexa digital assistant as Amazon Alexa has announced a partnership with Bollywood’s Big B to create a unique voice experience for its Indian users.
An amazon blog post published on Monday read as follows “Customers in India will be able to access Mr. Bachchan’s iconic voice on Alexa by purchasing the Amitabh Bachchan voice experience. This feature will only be available next year.”
The Amazon Alexa team will work closely with the actor to capture his voice and deliver a new experience to its users
Puneesh Kumar, Country leader for Alexa, Amazon India said “Bachchan’s voice is truly memorable for any Indian who has gron up with Bollywood. This combination delivers a perfect pitch to further delight and simplify the lives ofour customers”.
Amitabh Bachchan also responded about jong Alexa’s voice experience. He said “Technology has always given me an opportunity to adapt to new forms. Be it in movies, TV shows, podcasts and now I am excited to create this voice experience partnership with Amazon and Alexa.”
Alexa already has the voice of several celebrities but this is the first time that Alexa will get the voice of an Indian celebrity.
