Kurt Zouma, 27 years old France defender has been seen hitting his pet cat across the floor in a video.

Zouma got signed for West Ham from Chelsea. Center back Kurt Zouma has been condemned unreservedly by West Ham United for kicking and slapping the pet on the face after the video emerged. The club said they will internally deal out with the incident. And cleared that they will in no way condone cruelty towards animals.

France footballer has apologised for the incident. He made a statement saying that he wants to apologise for his actions. There are no excuses for his behaviour, which he sincerely regrets. He continued, with a deep apology to anyone who was upset by the video. And assure everyone that their two cats are perfectly healthy and fine. He further added the cats are loved and cherished by his entire family, and that behaviour was an isolated incident and assure that will not happen again.

The video that has circulated was filmed by Yoan, brother of Zouma. Which showed the footballer chasing the pet around the room and throwing shoes on.

An RSPCA Spokesperson started, The video was very upsetting and it’s never acceptable to hit slap or kick animals, for punishment or otherwise. He said they are grateful to the people who reported to them about the suspected animal suffering. They assure the people to look into it and investigate any complaints made to them if necessary.

The incident will not be investigated by the Metropolitan Police.
