Welsh Gareth Bale blasts on Spanish media and calls for the accountability of the ones who allow the “journalists” and “news outlets” to write articles that appear to be unethical.

The Real Madrid forward was subject to a remark by a Spanish outlet that labelled him as a “parasite,” to which, the 35-year-old responded via his official social media handles.

Bale has only appeared for two games for the club side since November to now to which, Spanish media threw their frustration over the player’s availability. He was also absent for Madrid’s 4-0 loss against Barcelona at this month’s Clasico but yesterday, the player made some positive headlines with his outstanding performance where he scored a brace for Wales against Austria at the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

Following his two stunning screamers in a crucial fixture that ended 2-1 in his favour, the Welsh international, in a post-match interview was asked about his celebration if it was a response to his critics to which the player replied, “No! I don’t need to send a message, honestly,” to Sky Sports. He further said that it will be his “waste of time” and ended by saying that comments like these are “disgusting” and they should be ashamed of such acts.

Gareth Bale is reportedly expected to leave the Whites as a free agent this summer. Los Blancos have been suffering from two long-time injuries, one Bale and the other, Eden Hazard who will be going through an ankle surgery in the coming days and is not expected to be back anytime soon. This situation forced the two to be sidelined most of the time for the La Liga table toppers which resulted in limiting them for very few games that also affected their position at the club.
