Victor Osimhen is close to join Galatasaray on a permanent deal after joining them on a season-long loan last season. There was no buy option included in this loan deal, but the striker doesn’t want to stay at Napoli anymore and thus the deal is progressing. Earlier, Galatasaray weren’t ready to pay Osimhen’s release clause, i.e. €75 million, but they are now negotiating over 5 years time to pay the release clause and the deal is soon to be agreed between the sides.

Although his initial move from Napoli didn’t include a buy option, the Nigerian striker is determined not to return to the Serie A side, accelerating negotiations between the two clubs.
Napoli had set a release clause of €75 million for Osimhen, which initially proved to be a stumbling block for Galatasaray. However, the Turkish giants have now returned to the table with a new proposal — to pay the release clause in installments over a five-year period. Talks have progressed positively, and the deal is expected to be finalized soon.
Osimhen, 25, enjoyed a strong campaign in Turkey and has expressed his desire to continue with Galatasaray, where he feels more valued and settled. With both clubs now aligned in principle, only final details remain before an official announcement is made.
