Valentin Carboni, a promising young talent from Inter Milan, is on the brink of joining Olympique Marseille. The two clubs are in advanced talks to finalize a loan deal with a buy option for the 19-year-old Argentine player.

Inter Milan and Marseille have been negotiating the terms of Carboni’s transfer, with an agreement expected to be reached soon. The deal is reported to include an initial loan fee of 4-5 million euros, with an option for Marseille to purchase Carboni for approximately 35 million euros. Inter Milan will retain a buy-back clause, allowing them to re-sign Carboni for a slightly higher fee than the initial sale.

Carboni, who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder but can also operate on the wings or as a second striker, has chosen Marseille, intrigued by the prospect of working under manager Roberto De Zerbi. The move to Marseille offers Carboni a chance to develop his skills further, following a successful loan spell at Monza where he scored two goals and provided four assists in 33 Serie A appearances.

The young Argentine’s performances have already earned him a call-up to Argentina’s senior national team, contributing to their Copa America victory earlier this month.
