Tottenham Hotspur’s ambitious move for highly-rated midfielder Nico Paz has been turned down, with Serie A side Como rejecting a €70 million package for the Argentine talent.

The North London club, looking to strengthen their attacking options, submitted an official bid via intermediaries after Paz impressed once again at the weekend, scoring a stunning goal and providing an assist for Como. However, the Italian side remains adamant about keeping their star player, who has quickly become central to their project.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Paz himself is keen to continue his development at Como rather than seek a move away. The 19-year-old’s decision is further backed by Real Madrid, his former club, who still maintain strong ties with both the player and Como.

Los Blancos inserted a key safeguard in Paz’s transfer to Italy: a €10 million buy-back clause effective from 2026. The Spanish giants were prepared to match any offer for the midfielder, ensuring they retain control over his future.
