Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal for a new midfielder as they want to make their squad strong for the next season’s European football. João Palhinha of Bayern has been signed by Spurs on a initial Loan deal plus buy option also included of €30 million. The buy option is not mandatory but will be triggered at the end of the season if Spurs feel Palhinha is the right man for them.

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha from Bayern Munich on an initial loan deal as they prepare for their return to the UEFA Champions League in the 2025/26 season.

The deal includes a buy option worth €30 million, giving Spurs the flexibility to make the move permanent next summer if Palhinha impresses in North London. The option is not mandatory, allowing the club to assess the experienced player’s impact throughout the campaign.

Spurs new manager Thomas Frank was keen to strengthen his midfield with a combative presence capable of handling Europe’s elite. Palhinha, renowned for his tackling and defensive awareness, is seen as the perfect fit as Tottenham aim to build a squad capable of competing with the continent’s top sides.
