As the winter transfer window comes to a close, a lot of clubs have made historic signings that are going to make huge differences in their fortunes for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season. Some of the most important deals made on the final day of the January Transfer Window include:

1. Noah Okafor (Milan → Napoli, Loan + €23M Option)

Napoli moved swiftly to sign Okafor after missing out on Saint-Maximin. The Swiss forward has struggled for consistency at Milan but possesses immense pace and dribbling ability. He could provide the cutting edge Napoli needs in their title race.

2. Marco Asensio (PSG → Aston Villa, Loan)

The Spaniard, a three-time UCL winner with Real Madrid, brings top-level experience to Villa. Though his PSG spell hasn’t been remarkable, his creativity and goal-scoring ability could elevate Unai Emery’s side in their push for a Champions League spot.

Mathys Tel (Bayern → Tottenham, Loan)

Tel has long been linked with a Premier League move, and Spurs finally secured him. Despite limited game time at Bayern this season, his previous campaign (10 goals, 6 assists) showed his immense potential. He offers much-needed depth for Ange Postecoglou’s attack.

Nico González (Porto → Man City, €60M)

City addressed their midfield concerns by signing González, a technically gifted La Masia graduate. With Rodri’s injury exposing City’s vulnerabilities, González’s composure and passing range will help stabilize Guardiola’s side in their pursuit of silverware.

Santiago Giménez (Feyenoord → Milan, €32M)

With Morata leaving on loan, Milan quickly acted to sign Giménez, who has been in sensational form with 16 goals in 19 Eredivisie matches. The Mexican striker, known for his lethal finishing and movement, could be the perfect long-term No. 9 for the Rossoneri.
