Timo Werner who is at Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig is all set to return to his orginal team after the end of this season. Spurs have decided not to trigger the permanent move for the striker as they feel the man is not the ideal option they are looking for upfront. As per Fabrizio Romano, the striker will return to Leipzig and then explore other options to leave in the summer transfer window.

Timo Werner is all set to return to RB Leipzig at the end of the current season, with Tottenham Hotspur deciding against making his loan deal permanent. The German forward joined Spurs on a season-long loan in January but has failed to convince the North London club to trigger the buy option.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Werner will head back to Leipzig once his loan expires, but he is expected to explore other opportunities in the summer transfer window. Despite showing flashes of his quality, Tottenham reportedly believe the 28-year-old is not the ideal profile they are seeking to strengthen their frontline.

Werner has struggled to replicate the form he once showed in the Bundesliga during his time in England, and it appears his future now lies away from both Spurs and Leipzig as he searches for a fresh start.
