Müller became a free agent after leaving Bayern Munich at the end of last season, bringing an end to a remarkable stint with the Bavarian giants where he won multiple Bundesliga titles and Champions League trophies. The 34-year-old’s decision to move to North America marks the first time he will play outside of Europe.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC have been in active talks with the player for weeks and have now reached an agreement on a free deal. While the move has not been officially announced yet, sources indicate that the contract is finalized and an official unveiling is expected soon.
