Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri is set to join Olympique Marseille on loan until the end of the season, with an agreement now fully in place between all parties. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move with his trademark “Here We Go,” marking a significant step in the 17-year-old’s development.

The deal will see Nwaneri spend the remainder of the campaign in Ligue 1, with no buy option included in the agreement. Arsenal remain fully committed to the highly rated attacking midfielder’s long-term future, and the plan is for him to return to North London in the summer after gaining valuable first-team experience in France.

As part of the arrangement, Marseille will cover Nwaneri’s salary until June and will also pay a loan fee that could rise to around €4 million. The final amount will depend on the teenager’s number of appearances over the next six months, highlighting OM’s intention to make regular use of the England youth international.

Nwaneri is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Arsenal’s Hale End academy in recent years. He made history in 2022 by becoming the youngest player ever to feature in a Premier League match, and he has continued to impress at youth level with his technical quality, composure, and attacking intelligence.
