The Indian and ATK Mohan Bagan keeper, who shares the same name with the former chief minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh is fed up as the various media outlets start mistakenly tagging him instead of the former Minister.
Amrinder Singh on his Twitter wrote, “Dear News, Media, Journalist, I am Amrinder Singh the Goalkeeper of the Indian Football Team and not the Former Chief Minister of the state of Punjab so please stop tagging me”.

The Footballer has urged the Media Fraternity to stop mistakenly tagging him instead of the former chief minister on tweets and posts on social media where the journalists and others are airing their views and speculation on what the former chief minister is poised to do next.
Captain Amarinder Singh too responded to this response from the footballer, The former CM in his tweet said “I empathise with you my young friend and good luck for your games ahead”.

There is just one syllable difference between them, As all eyes are on the former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh after the ongoing political turmoil in Punjab.
Amrinder Singh played for Pune FC’s youth team before promoting to the senior team after which he played for ATK FC in the Hero Indian Super League in 2015. He has since played for Bangalore FC and Mumbai FC after which he joined TK Mohan Bagan in May 2021, The 228-year-old wood wast out of the squad in the SAFF Championship after he was tested positive for COVID-19 and was replaced by Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem.
