Manchester United’s striker Rasmus Hojlund has announced his decision to stay at the club despite reports of leaving. There were reports suggesting that United could look to sell the Danish striker if a good offer arrives. The Red Devils is also planning to sign a new striker – Benjamin Sesko (internal talks already held). The deal for new striker was dependent on few outgoings which included Rasmus Hojlund as well. But, after the striker’s statement, will United still go for Sesko?
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has put an end to recent speculation by confirming his decision to stay at Old Trafford. Reports had suggested the Danish forward could be sold this summer if a lucrative offer came in, especially with United exploring options for a new striker.
The Red Devils have already held internal talks over RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, with the potential deal believed to hinge on a few player exits — including Hojlund. However, the 22-year-old’s public statement committing his future to United raises questions about the club’s next move in the transfer market. “My clear plan is to stay at Manchester United and be ready to fight for my spot here,” said Rasmus as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
With United eager to strengthen their attacking line, it remains to be seen whether they will still push for Sesko despite Hojlund’s stance. The club could consider bringing in the Slovenian as competition, or delay the move until next summer.
