A long-serving player and former captain of Barcelona FC, has officially left the club as a free agent. The midfielder who also performed the role of defender in the team, had already decided that the 2023/24 season would be his last in the Blaugrana colors, a decision that was anticipated by many.
Roberto has been an internal part of Barcelona’s squad for over a decade, making his first-team debut in 2010. Throughout his time at the club, he made over 350 appearances, contributing significantly to their domestic and European successes. Known for his versatility, he was deployed in multiple positions, including right-back, central midfield, and occasionally in more advanced roles.
