Salzburg take advantage over Mourinho’s Roma

Salzburg have shocked Roma by winning the round of 32 first leg tie of Europa League in their home.

UEFA Europa League knockout stages has started and the round of 32 teams are ready to battle it out for the trophy. Salzburg were up against AS Roma in the first leg tie at Red Bull Arena Salzburg on Thursday night, 16th February.

The Jose Mourinho’s side (AS Roma) wasn’t able to clinch the victory despite showing some good performance on the pitch on Thursday night. It was an unexpected loss for the Serie A side as they were defeated by 1-0 by Red Bull Salzburg. The goal from Salzburg’s man named Capaldo which came in the 88th minute was enough for the home side to take advantage over AS Roma before heading into the second leg.

The second leg of this round of 32 fixture is set to be played at AS Roma’s home where Jose Mourinho’s men will be looking to score two goals as they are expecting to progress further in the competition.
