Liverpool are set to finalize the signing of promising young talent Rio Ngumoha. The 16-year-old winger, who recently left Chelsea, has agreed to join the Reds and is currently undergoing the Premier League’s registration process. This process, which involves five steps, could take up to four weeks before the move is officially confirmed.

Ngumoha, who recently turned 16, made a notable impression in Chelsea’s U18 squad last season and even featured at the U21 level in the Premier League Cup. His rapid rise through the ranks has caught Liverpool’s attention, and he is expected to join their U18 setup under Marc Bridge-Wilkinson. There is potential for Ngumoha to eventually move up to the U21s, following a similar path to other young talents like Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo.

While Chelsea may not be thrilled about losing such a promising prospect, Liverpool are enthusiastic about adding Ngumoha to their academy at Kirkby.
