Florentino Perez, Real Madrid’s president was heard criticising Real Madrid legends, Raul Gonzalez and Iker Casillas earlier in leaked audio recorded in 2006 circulated by a Spanish newspaper named EI Confidencial. The same newspaper has again published today that the Laliga club president Perez had, nine years ago in 2012 called down both Cristiano Ronaldo and preceding Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho.

“He is crazy,” quoted Perez about Ronaldo. “This guy is an idiot, a sick man. You think this guy is normal, but he is not normal, otherwise, he wouldn’t do all the things he does.”

Ronaldo had entered Los Blancos for an £80 million contract in 2009 and finished his journey at the club as an all-time top scorer scoring 451 goals, in 2018 winning four Ballon d’Or awards and became UEFA Champions League winner for four times with the Whites.

Jose Mourinho who is currently the head coach of Serie A club Roma managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013. “These are guys with a terrible ego, both spoiled, the coach and him, and they don’t see reality,” said Perez reportedly.

“Mourinho is an idiot. It is not that he does not want to play. Well, he is a bit abnormal. He drives without a license.”

President Florentino responded to the leaks officially through Real Madrid and said: “Given the news broadcast in El Confidencial, in which phrase attributed to me are reported, I think it’s necessary to clarify. The reproduced phrases are pronounced in conversation clandestinely recorded by Mr Antonio Abellan, who has trying to sell them for many years without success.”

He also said that the newspaper that has published the conversation today, after the time that has been elapsed are single phrases conversation taken from the broad context in which they occur.
