Sevilla started with the lead where Rakitic and Lamela powered their side for two goals within five minutes on the 21st and 25th minutes respectively. The first half ended in favour of Sevilla but it didn’t last long and the Los Blancos completely dominated the second. Rodrygo gave Real Madrid hope at the 50th minute followed by Nacho Fernandez 82′ minute strike and at last, Karim Benzema yet again, made it 3-2 to clinch an unbelievable victory at stoppage time to give the 13-times European champions three important points taking them 15-points ahead of second-placed rivals FC Barcelona.
The French man has now scored 25 goals in La Liga this season, the most ever in a season for Benzema. The La Liga table-toppers now need 10 more points while having already left six more fixtures.
