Nottingham Forest’s new era under Ange Postecoglou is already engulfed in tension, as frustrated supporters turned hostile during a 3–2 Europa League defeat to FC Midtjylland. Amid chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning,” the Australian boss acknowledged the criticism but insisted his focus remains steadfast.

The loss marks Postecoglou’s sixth game without a win in charge, making him the first permanent Forest manager in a century to endure such a barren start.

Forest conceded twice from set-pieces in quick succession and succumbed to a late strike from Valdemar Byskov. A stoppage-time penalty from Chris Wood reduced the deficit to 3–2 but proved too late.

Speaking after the match, Postecoglou didn’t shy away from the atmosphere. “I heard it. They are fans. They want to see their team win and they’re entitled to their opinion,” he said. “Really disappointing. Just really, really poor goals we conceded … it’s been the story of our last few games.

Despite the backlash, Postecoglou remains defiant. He maintained that the side is “on the right track,” and vowed to keep pushing until wins follow.
