Pep Guardiola provides club’s unconditional support to Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko

Manchester City’s defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, from Ukraine, is ready to play if called upon despite the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. City’s manager Pep Guardiola says Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been affected by his hometown Ukraine due to Russia’s invasion, is ready to play he’s back on the training ground.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, aged 26 years, is a Ukrainian professional footballer, who plays as a defender or midfielder for The Manchester City club and the Ukraine national team.
Zinchenko began his career at The Russian Premier League and then joined Manchester City, in 2016, for a fee of around £1.7 million.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, since joining Man City in 2016, has till now played more than 100 games for Manchester City and been in the club’s squad for three Premier League titles.
So far this season, he has played 15 games for the city club and won 48 caps for Uthe Ukraine team.

Manager Pep says, “What would you do if someone attacked the UK? How would you feel? It’s how he feels.”
He added, “Always the innocent people pay the price, a terrible price.”

Pep Guardiola also said that Oleksandr Zinchenko has the club’s unconditional support. -reported by Sky Sports

Earlier, a Zinchenko’s post on Instagram, which has now been removed, displayed a picture of Putin with the words: “I hope you die the most painful suffering death, creature”. It was soon deleted by Instagram, reported by the media organisation Zorya London

Meanwhile, West Ham manager David Moyes, in an interview, confirms that its 32-year-old Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko has been given time off following the Russian invasion.
Yarmolenko might miss the club’s match with The olves on Sunday.

Manager David says, regarding Andriy Yarmolenko, that “He’s not in a good position at the moment, we’ve given him a few days off.”
