Guardiola’s men were not able to get on the scoresheet and had a very poor 90 minutes last night. The second half sees another goal from Leverkusen as the striker Patrick Schick scored a great one to register the win.

Manchester City endured a night to forget as they were handed a harsh 2–0 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen in their latest UEFA Champions League fixture at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s men looked far from their best, struggling to break down a disciplined and energetic Leverkusen side that controlled key moments of the match.

City, who are usually dominant on their home turf, were unusually flat throughout the 90 minutes. Their passing lacked sharpness, their attacks lacked purpose, and defensive lapses proved costly against a Leverkusen team brimming with confidence.

Alejandro Grimaldo, opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a composed finish, adding another layer of frustration for Guardiola. Despite City’s attempts to respond, the Bundesliga side maintained their structure and continued to threaten on the counter.
