Andre Onana has travelled to Turkey in order to sign for Trabzonspor on loan deal. Manchester United agreed to let him leave after they signed a new goalkeeper on the deadline day. There is no loan fee in this deal and also no buy option clause included. The goalkeeper will return to the side after the end of this season (2025/26).

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has travelled to Turkey to complete a loan move to Trabzonspor for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

United agreed to let the 29-year-old leave following the arrival of a new shot-stopper on deadline day, pushing Onana down the pecking order at Old Trafford. The deal with Trabzonspor does not include a loan fee or a purchase option, meaning the Cameroon international will return to Manchester at the end of the campaign.

Onana joined United from Inter Milan in 2023 and made over 70 appearances for the club. However, inconsistency in form and the club’s desire to reinforce the goalkeeping department paved the way for his temporary exit.

Trabzonspor, currently aiming to strengthen their squad for a strong finish in the Turkish Super Lig, view Onana’s experience as a major boost between the posts.
