Douglas Luiz has officially signed for Nottingham Forest and is now back in the English Premier League. This is a loan deal from Juventus, but there’s no chance of him going back to the Serie A side as the loan deal also include Obligation to Buy option. The €30 million obligation to buy will be triggered after this season ends (2025/26). Luiz wanted to come back to Premier League after his poor stint at Serie A for a season.
Douglas Luiz is officially back in the English Premier League after completing a move to Nottingham Forest from Juventus. The Brazilian midfielder has joined Forest on loan, but the deal includes an obligation to buy clause worth €30 million, which will be triggered at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The experienced player only spent one season in Serie A, but his time at Juventus was far from successful. Struggling to adapt in Turin, Luiz made it clear he wanted to return to England, where he previously impressed with Aston Villa. Nottingham Forest moved quickly to secure his services, adding much-needed quality and experience to their midfield.
