Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has expressed his burning ambition to etch his name among the club’s greats, following his superb long-range goal that helped the Blues secure a crucial win.

Speaking to The Sun, the Ecuadorian international opened up about his determination to work tirelessly and build a legacy similar to Chelsea icons like N’Golo Kanté and Claude Makélélé, two players whose influence defined eras at Stamford Bridge.

“I will keep working hard with a clear mission: to become a Chelsea legend one day,” Caicedo said. “I’m far from N’Golo Kanté or Makélélé in what they did here, they achieved a lot… but I’m gonna keep working to become a legend here.”

Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton in a record-breaking move last summer, and while his start was challenging, he’s steadily finding his rhythm under the club’s current management. His recent performances have shown greater composure and confidence on the ball.
