Manchester United could face a significant financial hurdle if they decide to part ways with head coach Ruben Amorim. According to reports, the Red Devils would need to pay a compensation fee of around £12 million should they terminate the Portuguese manager’s contract prematurely.
Amorim, who took charge last year, has endured a rocky start to life at Old Trafford. His side has struggled for consistency across competitions, recording just eight wins from 31 matches. More worryingly, United have suffered 16 defeats during that spell, raising concerns among supporters and fueling speculation about his long-term future at the club.
The 39-year-old tactician built his reputation at Sporting CP, where he guided the Lisbon outfit to domestic success and earned plaudits for his tactical approach and ability to develop young players. However, his transition to the Premier League has been far from smooth, with United failing to mount a serious challenge for silverware so far this season.
