Manchester United has made an opening proposal for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. Talks have been going on between Manchester United and Barcelona since June 1. The deal made by United for Frenkie was 60m plus 10m add-ons.
Barcelona has declined this opening bid made by United but both the clubs are still going on with the talks as United is desperate to get their man to strengthen their midfield by putting up a huge sum.
De Jong has played under the newly appointed United coach Erik Ten Hag back in Ajax.
Frenkie De Jong is a strong player in the midfield and he has scored 3 goals and has assisted 3 times in La Liga this season out of 32 games. He is a well-balanced player who is very good at attacking as well as defending. Manchester United would surely want to have him on board in their midfield unit.
