Manchester City are just three points behind leaders Arsenal

Man City beat Aston Villa by 3-1 to go three points behind Arsenal.

Manchester City closed the points gap between Arsenal and them in the English Premier League points table. Manchester City defeated Aston Villa and are now just three points behind the league leaders Arsenal FC in the league. It was a dominating 3-1 victory over Aston Villa before their game against Arsenal this week.

Manchester City had three different scorers in the game, starting with their central-defensive midfielder Rodri who scored from the corner in just the 4th minute. Rodri headed the ball perfectly into the net to give the lead to the defending champions. Manchester City’s midfielder Gundogan scored the second goal of the game in the 39th minute.

It was Erling Haaland’s assist from his right foot which reached Gundogan in no time and he made no mistake in finishing it. Later in the first half, Riyad Mahrez scored their last goal from the spot. Grealish was fouled in the box by Jacob Ramsey and thus City got a penalty.

Despite being 3-0 up, Aston Villa never gave up and pulled one back in the 61st minute to give some hope to the visiting fans. However it was the last one of the game and it ended with the final scoreline of 3-1.
